I really do have this stuff in my head. These Cones are helping myself and the athlete understand info about her pattern. This "spacing" was walked out with my feet, EVERY SINGLE CONE! Learn your craft and stop waiting for someone to give you the answers!

2nd and 3rd today!
7.66 is a new PR and 7.84 is #2 to his 7.82 last weekend.
Two class of 2025 seniors (unsigned) and 2 GREAT young men. They have been fun to coach!

All of these young people are now college graduates! 1 State Champion in this group. I'm pretty consistent when it comes to marking the 1st 4 steps out of the blocks!

When people talk to me about "legacy, ".......I see this set up and similar ones all over social media today. You're welcome!

Legs still got just enough to get the ladies under 3.0 sec for an overspeed pull. Best part is she held on for 3.01 the next 30m unassisted. No 1080 for me, we got the "Dabbs 250" 😂😂

Big PR today in Canada! Last week, 56.37, this week 55.38. 🤔 still finding time, so we are NOT done yet! Great job, @_deoncabookman

Why I route for the hurdle coach
🗣🗣🗣
Less than 20 H.S. girls a year run under 13.5
Less than 20 boys a year run under 13.7, and the height goes up
A large majority of kids DON'T have 400H experience when they arrive on campus
Many have NEVER had formal coaching

3 x 100m (boy/2 girls)
2 x 100H
3 x 300H (girl/2 boys)
1 x 400m
7 individuals qualified for the 2024 UIL State Meet.
That's 7 individuals whom I not only work with, but many of them, I have some type of communication/collaboration with their school coach!

I actually have the splits for this somewhere on my laptop. This is Samantha Gonzalez back in 2015 between Regionals and State, 1 x 250, which she finished in 34. Ran 40.8 at state and was NOT pushed at all. We took out H2, so H3 was the first hurdle she took.

A "BULLYCOACHING" take on a normal sprint concept. 100m race model work. Specific to the athlete, their stride pattern/SL.
NOT universal!

Hey Coach, why are you in spikes in Oct, Nov, Dec ?? Well the weather dictates when we sprint. Learned that was VERY important during my time as a college coach. I only had an indoor for 1 season. The other 10, I didn't have an indoor alternative......still don't.

We still have a spots available to sign up for the virtual clinic. There are spots left to order the recording. Fees for the live need to be paid upon sign up (info on link page). Find out why the pic below was NOT a "speed" session 🫣😉

We are just a few participants away from solidifying this presentation. I need at least 10 people to be on the live zoom to go ahead with the call. We literally are running out of spots for those who can't attend and want the recording.

His blocks slipped and he kept going. The reality is, many times this doesn't get called and you just have to recover and go with it. I'm all for these situations in training because they teach athletes how to NOT make excuses. Great job young man!

Let the hurdlers finally push off a pedal last night. The acceleration work is showing up, and the rhythm is coming along.

I promise I'm going to perfect this in 2024 😤

Here's video of yesterday's session. Isolation work focusing on the 1st 4 steps of acceleration. The resistance step is to help make the connection of the initial push. The immediate reinforcement of the push using the front pedal helps connect the 2 exercises

I literally haven't done this set up since Covid. They handled it very well. Acceleration introduction
