As the COP26 Climate Change Conference draws to a close we can all play our part in reducing CO2 emissions without making radical changes. If we all took 1 more bus journey per month then CO2 emissions could be reduced by 2 million tonnes a year. #climatechange #busisbetter

We have continually invested in our fleet with modern vehicles fitted with Euro V & Euro VI engines that create less emissions than a diesel car. There is still a lot to do but you can play your own part in reducing emissions by switching your commute to this bus. #busisbetter

It's such a weird feeling getting to a bus stop and knowing another bus will be coming right away to take me where I need to go. Transfer at Osborne Station onto BRT and a suitable bus is just there. Instantly. #busisbetter

Today is my 4th day going to work from the new house. And my third completely different bus route to get there. When you live in a transit friendly neighborhood, you have a variety of options all the time and seldom have to wait long. #busisbetter

Still dont understand DART bus system with @winnipegtransit but I just got dropped off at home. It was waiting for us. And all bus travel was free! A) This was awesome. B) Everyone should do this. C) If it was like this every day, more ppl would! #busisbetter #HappyNewYears

Also - you can just show up on the main route without planning, and a bus will magically appear. No freezing your butt off or getting to your destination late. This is key to encouraging ppl to take transit. Make it easy and reliable! (Cont) #busisbetter

Short thread on frequent transit service Day 1 taking bus from our new house is great example why frequent service spine is vital. Neighborhood feeder only 1 minute late but just missed 2 buses that were potential connections. Cc. @winnipegtransit @FTWinnipeg #busisbetter
