We met our Sicilian brother Gaetano Cavalieri @GaetanoCavalie a little over twenty one years ago in 2002 or early 2003 , Gaetano comes from a family with a long-standing tradition in the Italian Jewelery industry, tracing back 11 generations.
He is the President of #cibjo (Confédération Internationale de la Bijouterie, Joaillerie, Orfèvrerie des Diamants, Perles et Pierres) ,exVP of the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and owner of Gaetano Cavelieri Stratagic Business Consultancy.
In November 2006 Gaetano handed me the responsibility of taking on the role of CIBJO’s representative to the United Nations @UN , mainly focusing on the MENASA region.
A couple of years later Gaetano took the decision to have the first Cibjo congress in Dubai (2008) at the @GrosvenorHouse and 2025 Cibjo Congress will be held in #HongKong 🇭🇰, #China 🇨🇳 .

Through these initiatives, Gaetano Cavelieri continues to contribute significantly to the growth and recognition of Italian jewelry worldwide.
The World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) was founded in Paris in 1926 as BIBOA, a multinational organization representing the European jewelry trade. In 1961, the organization was restructured as CIBJO, and began accepting members from around the world.
