I would argue that the top language combines brevity, relatively low #complexity with useful morphisms with the relevant assembly languages, as occurs in my all time fave C. C++ has lots of power but the assembly language morphisms start to break down, IMO. (don't even wanna start about the <iostream> class) #risk
