Wrapping up their time in Rwanda, @tharsasbl team joined us at CBS Rwanda’s head office for reflection and exchange of experiences and learnings from the field visits. It was a meaningful moment of learning, appreciation, and farewell as we celebrated the days we shared together.

A crucial step forward for #SRHR in Uganda.

Ben Bagiraitungi, the Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Isingiro, concluded by expressing his gratitude to all the partners involved in the #CONNECTProject.
He specifically thanked the @MinofHealthUG, @UgandaRedCross, the @UWindsor, @MbararaUST , and @soarresearch_f .
His appreciation underscored the multi-sectoral collaboration and the diverse expertise brought together to address critical sexual and reproductive health issues in the district.

The #CONNECTProject isn't just about research; it's about real impact.
By addressing the critical gap in parent-child SRH communication, especially for vulnerable adolescents in refugee and host communities, it aims to foster healthier behaviors and reduce risks like teenage pregnancy.

Dr. Viola Nilah Nyakato, Principal Investigator for the #CONNECTProject, has shed light on its strategic design and expected outcomes at today's launch in Isingiro.
Highlighting that Uganda hosts 1.7 million refugees (half under 18!), this project is designed to adapt and evaluate a proven SRH communication intervention.
A key focus remains on empowering caregivers and adolescents in Nakivale and Bidibidi refugee settlements – a truly impactful research initiative.
