DAY - 3
In the 19th World Sanskrit Conference, Hon'ble VC Prof. Srinivasa Varakhedi remarked that Sanskrit is the seeds from where knowledge grows
—Prof. Ajay Kumar Mishra @ProfAjayMishra
#Convener Media Cell, IKS Cell Official, and PRO
A VC Meet was organised under the chairmanship of Hon'ble VC Prof. Srinivasa Varakhedi @shrivarakhedi of Central Sanskrit University @CSU (#CSU), Delhi on the eve of the 19th World Sanskrit Conference (#IASS) at Kathmandu, Nepal.
In the meeting, all the VCs of Sanskrit Universities from India, along with the VC of Nepal Sanskrit University, the University of Calcutta @uniOFcalcutta nominee of UGC, and several officials were present.
The theme of the meeting was Indo-Nepal #Collaboration in the field of promotion of #IKS between both countries.
In a brilliant projection, Prof. Varakhedi earnestly remarked that Sanskrit is the seeds from where knowledge grows. It means, when knowledge comes, it starts with the impact of Sanskrit and its Sanskars, along with the vibes of Prakrit and Pali languages. Therefore, the pedagogy in research should be imbibed with such true spirit and tinged with its powerful designs.
Other scholars also offered suggestions in terms of IKS (Indian Knowledge System) studies for both countries.
Apart from this prolific academic exercise, a wonderful stage performance was played by the girls and boys of a well-established Shree Kantibhairab Gurukul Vidyalaya, Uttarbahini, Kathmandu.
The name of the play was Prathistha, which deals with the issue of ignorance of girl education in Nepali society. The interesting play reflects the message of gender justice and emphasises that without the proper education of girls or women, there may not be complete upliftment of Nepali society.
The innovative vibes of Bharata's Natyasastra were found in the cultural land of Nepal by Nepali Gurukul young artists. It is a nostalgic literary journey between Nepal and India via Natasastra of Bharat.
The importance of pathos in life is very significant, so the social issue-based play started with an accident in which a wounded father is very worried about his daughter, who has also met with the same accident. The father is too much worried to know her condition.
As per the situation that has been created on stage, it is shown that she is very talented, and in the future, she will be the sole breadwinner for her family.
From the country of Nepal, as Secretary of this 19th International Conference, Prof. Kashinath Nayopane gladly remarked that such types of performances in the World Sanskrit Conference substantiate the popularity and power of Sanskrit, and this type of appreciative performance will give a new journey and emerging trend by Gurukul students in the arena of Sanskrit dramatic world of course . It will enrich the Sanskrit language , simple standard, Sanskrit (#SSS) and rediscover the talents of Gurukul students, which were fragmented by colonial power.
A Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan was also organised today, in which more than 20 blooming young and globally noted Sanskrit poets recited their marvellous poems related to current issues and cultural nationalism. This proves itself as the wonderful creative writing of Sanskrit in modern Sanskrit poems.
Apart from this, special panel discussions and paper presentations were also productive features of today's international conference.
The Sanskrit Kavi Sammelan was Chaired by Hon'ble VC of Nationa Sanskrit University @NSUTirupati, Tirupathi and co-ordinated by the Director of CSU ,Bhopal Campus @csubhopal , Prof Ramakant Pandey .
