Important trial, well done! Follows patients out to day 90, trend but not stat sig. for positive outcome AND for adverse events! Overall we need to focus on the patient at hand, do we need to titrate the dose to the patient? #CS2trial

In a randomized trial of patients with #COVID19 and severe hypoxemia, compared with 6 mg of dexamethasone, 12 mg of dexamethasone did not statistically significantly reduce the number of days alive without life support at 28 days https://t.co/1GML3s4BoF

Our @MarionKCampbell giving a fantastic editorial on the #CS2Trial @CritCareReviews. Insightful reflections on the overall meaning of the trial but closing with a really important message for all #RCTs. There is no such thing as a negative trial.

@nuttchristopher @MarionKCampbell what should trialists do in future trials to avoid the "ceiling effect" of benefit seen in #CS2trial

How do we interpret a statistically non-significant 5% mortality reduction? Do we act on it? What about in a pandemic with 5M deaths? Questions via twitter (#CS2trial) and CCR livestream chat function. Supported by @MyIntensiveCare
