The future of humanitarian action is being written by young people in Northeast Nigeria, and we are proud to stand with them!
As part of our continued support for Youth in Humanitarian Platforms, we proudly supported the #ChangeTheCode team in convening the Local Organising Hub for Young Humanitarians at our Maiduguri Office.
This powerful gathering brought together passionate young leaders from across Northeast Nigeria to shape a Youth Demand Charter, a bold roadmap of priorities, solutions, and actionable recommendations that will amplify the voices of young people at the 2026 Global Youth Humanitarian Summit.
Together, they reflected on commitments made since the World Humanitarian Summit (2016) and the Grand Bargain, while courageously addressing the persistent gaps in localisation, accountability, and meaningful youth participation in humanitarian response.
This is a movement charted by a generation rising to demand inclusion, drive change, and redefine humanitarian leadership from the ground up.
