SASA Together: Women Leading Action Against GBV & Child Marriage in Mbire.
Today we are back in Mbire, continuing profiling work with communities to unpack the SASA! Together methodology. The goal is clear: make sure women understand it, own it, and lead it.
Last week @ActionAidZim introduced the Start, Awareness, Support, Action (SASA) Together model into the Mbire Local Rights Programme. We know GBV and child marriage thrive where information is scarce, dialogue is unsafe, and local leadership is sidelined. So, we're changing that.
Young people claimed their rights, built livelihoods, and became agents of change in their neighborhoods. The project may end, but the skills, confidence & leadership stay in Hopley.
More youth-led stories coming soon. Watch this space.
