biggest update and channel check on #purpleunited
my first try at delhi investor meet was very good. together we brainstormed many cos. today we went to do a channel check on #purpleunited at their Najafgarh and Rajouri Stores. Both stores had a staff of 5 and 6 respectively.
The collection is very colourful and trendy. The price point for winter clothing was higher at 2000-4000 rs per item. The quality of items was very very high. Being in cotton trade myself, I can easily tell if the item is made of polyester/cotton and the quality. The current discount offer was
30% off on 1 item
40% off on 2 items
50% off on 3 items
60% off on 4 items
We bot 3 pullovers .
the final bill after 50% discount [3 items] was 3550 rs or 1183 rs per item. this means that for winter items their price point is >1000 rs or 2x of summer items atleast if not more.
The clothes look and feel good and especially its branded as can be seen by the logo.
the footfall was good and in vicinity there were firstcry stores at both locations but the collection was geared towards infants and for kids above 4 years of age there were very little options and variety.
#purpleunited has a very big collection and variety in 0-14 yrs age group but their forte is 2-14 yrs with a price point much higher than firstcry.
we also noticed that there were many many suppliers for #Purpleunited which means they are not dependent on one. some names we came across
