The proof is in the #MadlangaCommission record of yesterday, pages 84–85 of the transcript and today's sitting. #ChaskalsonSC took the Commission to a WhatsApp exchange between Sibanyoni and Sindane in which Sibanyoni says: “I have a 500 million deal for Moloto Road,” followed immediately by: “The director who got the contract wants to meet up with you.” Evidence from the same day identifies Dr Ntuli as the director of Tengane Mining and explains that his operation supplied aggregate to King Civil for SANRAL's Moloto Road project. To be precise, the record establishes the R500m Moloto Road “deal” and connects the discussion to the contractor/director involved in that project. Today's exchanges have found Sibanyoni talking about Ntuli approaching him. Ntuli was the recipient of the Moloto Road tender, and the value of the tender is on record to be R500 million. #ChaskalsonSC is unrelenting in his pursuit to have things wrapped up. He knows - if he flights, he sets the cat amongst the pigeons and even that need for urgent prohibitory and mandatory interdictory relief will be rendered nugatory. It was still-born anyway. I am convinced that there must be bad blood or bruised egos between the CJ & Madlanga J. s47 is meant to avoid frivolity and abuse of process. That she consented is telling. I also picked up that there's no love lost between Mr Masuku and #CommissionerBaloyi even his demeanor changed. #MadlangaCommission

His back behaved. Fortunately, no theatrics, straight-forward questions. Some elaborate answers but which were promptly curtailed by #BaloyiSC. I know I love #JusticeMadlanga, I love #ChaskalsonSC, #SelloSC and #HassimSC very much BUT #KhumaloSC has grown on me. He is thorough, he reads, he is objective and interrogates. He calls BS, BS but, he never ever loses objectivity and humaneness. #MadlangaCommission

@NhlamuloNeay @MalungisaYawa3 They look stuffed. Justice Madlanga corrected #ChaskalsonSC saying they were emus not ostriches. Interestingly, they are not indigenous to South Africa although two or three farmers breed them. They are from Australia.
