- it's developed in-house by an $ETC dev team
- It's temporary - used when needed and off when not
- uses federated system (not unlike #Kotti's validators)
- imo seems least complex comp'd to other props
Charles Hoskinson suggested #ETC should use checkpointing - a gimmick used by some #PoW ledgers that don't have enough #hashrate to defend against an attack. #Checkpointing is usually a sign that your #blockchain isn't very popular.
