Your identity is worth more than gold.
Right now, Big Tech owns it.
But what if you could control it… and even monetize it?
Here’s how @cheqd_io studio is making that possible 🧵👇 $CHEQ

$cheq is 300% up so far
My AI detected the bottom at 0.011, and today it hit 0.033, so 3x up for the VIPs who hold this coin.
#cheqd is on a bigger run this month, guys. So, hold your horses; this will play well, and we shall make a minimum of 1000% like my other calls.

$cheq #cheqd is on the way to the big pump in coming days it can esily do 5-10x from the current price
a nice breakout today , by 6-7th of september it can reach a nice peak point of 0.1 $

Totally agree with this. Cheq probably is that one hidden gem which dog-coin owners would love to add to their portfolio when they realize the potential ROI. It's not even in the top 1000 now but if should already be within the top 100 at least. $CHEQ #Cheqd

OSA is necessary, but we must ensure that we do this in a more decentralised way by letting the users control their own data and ensuring data privacy using VCs. I've been developing on Cheqd for a while, and I think #cheqd provides the best infrastructure for integrating SSI.
The UK’s Online Safety Act (OSA) aims to enhance online safety by regulating platforms to prevent harmful content, which has stirred up a bit of controversy. While seemingly well intentioned, its implementation creates privacy risks through centralised data collection.
Certain online services are mandated to verify user ages to restrict access to harmful or inappropriate content. Platforms must implement age assurance measures, often relying on third-party providers to collect user biometrics, and/or copies of government issued ID.
The Act applies to a broad range of services such as social media, adult content platforms, gaming services, and online marketplaces. Platforms that do not comply risk significant fines of $18m, or 10% of global turnover. For smaller platforms, potential market exit due to compliance costs.

As service providers scrambled to implement safeguarding controls, it has become broadly reported that age verification has been widely implemented already. For example, Reddit now uses Persona for age verification, requiring users to submit IDs or selfies.

Similarly, X has implemented facial age estimation and ID checks for certain features. These methods often involve third-party providers, raising concerns about data storage and potential unauthorised access.

Adult content platforms must verify user ages to comply with the OSA, often using services like Yoti.

Centralised data silos are inherently risky. Earlier this year it was reported 16 billion passwords were exposed in global breaches. Storing IDs, selfies, or utility bills for age checks creates honeypots for cybercriminals, and this increases the risk of personal information being breached.

We believe the Online Safety Act can be implemented with safeguarding measures that protect user privacy and prevent personal data breaches more effectively.
cheqd offers a decentralised, privacy preserving solution using Verifiable Credentials(VCs). With these credentials, users can prove information about themselves without having to provide more than needed. For age checks, platforms only need to know if the user is over the age of 18.
Leveraging Self-Sovereign Identity principles, users can have more control over their data. Users hold VCs in secure digital wallets and share only necessary information via Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) or selective disclosure.

cheqd’s infrastructure allows credential issuers to create commercial models, building a sustainable ecosystem. Verifiers access trusted data, users retain control, and regulators see compliance. All working with current, and emerging standards.
Online safety and privacy need not conflict. By adopting Verifiable Credentials on cheqd, platforms can comply with the OSA while eliminating data silos.
Verifiable Credentials can also be used in a variety of other use cases, like Digital Product Passports (DPP).
Digital Product Passports are digital records that aggregate and store data about a product and footprint in the supply chain. This enables manufacturing and logistics companies to show a complete picture of the quality of a product, and any ethical practices associated with the creation and shipping.

These principles also apply to AI Agents. As agent functions continue to evolve, we need a way to verify the purpose of an agent, any permissions they have, and if it can be trusted. We’ve built a first of its kind Agent Trust Solution for this purpose
