Da die #ClimateSensitivity ein wichtiger Faktor für #KlimaModelle ist, könnte die geschätzte Erderwärmung höher ausfallen als offiziell angenommen.
Diese sagt aus wie stark sich die Erde erwärmt, wenn sich das CO2 in der Atmosphäre verdoppelt.
Für @DrJamesEHansen ist die geschätzte #ClimateSensitivity des #IPCC (3°C) um 50% (!) zu niedrig. Er schätzt sie auf 4,5°C. Grund ist, dass seiner Meinung nach der IPCC den kühlenden Effekt von Aerosolen unterschätzt, diese könnten noch stärker sein.

Die korrekte Annahme der Climate Sensitivity ist hier entscheidend, denn dies ist die Grundlage (!) der Climate Models. Diese besagt wie stark sich die Erde erhitzt, wenn sich der CO2-Anteil in der Atmosphäre im Vgl. zu vorindustriellen Zeiten verdoppelt. Erhöht sich also die Climate Sensitivity, dann erhöht sich auch die Schätzung der Climate Models. Der IPCC ging bisher von einer Climate Sensitivity von 2-4,5°C aus, einige Models besagen aber, dass diese über 5°C liegt. Viele Forscher gingen von einem Fehler dieser "Hot Models" aus, dass diese 5°C unrealistisch seien. Es gibt aber erste Indizien, dass dies doch korrekt sein könnte. Grund für dies möglicherweise falsche Einschätzung sind fehlenden historischen Daten der #Wolken. Das wäre eine echte #Klimakatastrophe.

@skdh I'm personally not so attached to #climatesensitivity. I think it's in the range 2,5C to 5,8C, so bad anyway

Jag kan bara hålla med Paul här om det, och det är inte heller snyggt på det sättet Michael Mann bemöter sådana som utmanar hans och IPCC:s linje och teorier, som faktiskt uppenbarligen inte håller, eftersom verkligheten redan visar att de är totalt fel ute i hur stor klimat känsligheten faktiskt är..
