Recently published @BangaloreMirror feature on the textile waste collection initiative led by the Bangalore Apartments' Federation (@BAFBLR), in collaboration with Saamuhika Shakti and partners, @ApparelCircular and @Hasiru_Dala.
In April, six BAF member communities came together to collect over 500 kg of used textiles, preventing waste from ending in landfills or water bodies, and contributing to a more circular future whilst supporting the livelihoods of waste pickers in #Bengaluru ♻️

As part of the Saamuhika Shakti collective, our partners @sambhavforindia and @ApparelCircular (CAIF) are collaborating to unlock credit solutions for waste picker communities
Under CAIF’s pan-India Closing the Loop on Textile Waste (CTL) program, this pilot in #Bengaluru—powered by @WeAreRangDe’s peer-to-peer lending model—is enabling 10 women from waste picker families, trained by Sambhav Foundation, to access affordable credit to start their own green enterprises.
From setting up tailoring units to small production spaces, these women are turning circular fashion into a viable livelihood—contributing not just to sustainability, but to economic stability and dignity.
This is collective impact in action, and we are excited for the women to unlock these opportunities supported by Rang De!
