Even now 4years post publication of #MotherAndBabyHome #CommissionsReport it is staggering the manner in which survivor testimony was diluted/erased while Sisters whose affidavit was considered “speculative, inaccurate and misleading” were given draft copy - survivors were not😡

Reading Catriona Crowe’s essay really brings home how parts of the #MBHCOI ‘s Report were shambolic. My mother was 1 of the 64 who went to the investigative committee. She only applied to give evidence here & not the confidential one. They managed to mess up her testimony. 1/6

According to the #CommissionsReport into #MotherAndBabyHomes approx 1,638 infants were placed for foreign adoption with the "vast majority" going to America. One of those “banished babies” #MariSteed of #Bessboro needs your help. More details below ⬇️ 🙏 https://t.co/wcFSYe01xT

@FCarolMH @danielmloftus @Project_Infant and team are recording every child deceased within Irelands institutions most notably #MotherAndBabyHomes. State in #CommissionsReport estimated figure at 9,000 but they did not include all institutions. Keep eye on https://t.co/6BYDpgBbff
