Birleşmiş Milletler İşkenceye Karşı Komite (CAT), Hizmet Hareketi sempatizanı olduğu iddia edilen bir kişinin muhtemelen hapis, işkence ve kötü muameleyle karşı karşıya kalacağı Türkiye'ye sınır dışı edilmesini önlemek için bir kez daha müdahale etti. Almanya'dan sığınma talebinde bulunan kişi gözaltına alınmış ve Türkiye'ye sınır dışı edilme tehdidi altındaydı. IAHRAG tarafından yapılan bir başvuruya cevaben, İşkenceyi Önleme Komitesi davayı kaydetmiş ve usul kurallarının 114. maddesi uyarınca geçici tedbir kararı almıştır. Bu tedbirler özellikle Almanya'dan “davası Komite tarafından incelenirken başvuranı Türkiye'ye sınır dışı etmekten kaçınmasını” talep etmiştir. Sınır dışı kararı şu anda durdurulmuş ve başvuran, davası Komite'nin incelemesindeyken önemli bir erteleme anlamına gelecek şekilde gözaltından serbest bırakılmıştır.
