In our latest #CommunityInspiration blog for #LupusAwarenessMonth, we spotlight Ali VanderLoop, who was diagnosed with lupus in 2023, beginning a journey filled with uncertainty and the search for an effective treatment.
Determined to take control of her health and make a difference, Ali, her husband, 2024 NASCAR Truck Series champion @TyMajeski and @ThorSportRacing partnered with the Lupus Research Alliance to raise awareness and advance research for a cure during #LupusAwarenessMonth and beyond.
Lupus has impacted many aspects of Ali’s life, but through this campaign, she hopes to connect with others facing similar challenges, amplify awareness, and contribute to groundbreaking research.
By teaming up with LRA, Ali is committed to making a lasting impact on the lupus community—driving support, fostering education, and championing a future free of lupus through the racing community.

Known around lupus circles as “Dan the Man”, Nandan (Dan) Baruah is an advocate for people with lupus. This month, we are shining a spotlight on him in our #CommunityInspiration blog. Dan is particularly focused on helping other men living with what is often considered a women’s disease.
