Great reflections on #Connects21 from the Local Trust by @harriet1marsden. Interesting perspective to be in the background of a great photo of a reel of black tape 🙄. Seriously, it was a buzz and a privilege to be part of it. https://t.co/7akgD9qrVD

That’s a wrap, folks! Two days of representatives from 150 #BigLocal areas around the country, of all ages & backgrounds, sharing stories and strategies of how empowered communities can collectively change the world. And @LocalTrust CEO @matt_leach with a new friend… #Connects21

At this point everyone had made a tool to turn hindering thoughts into something more helpful, played Community Asset Bingo and finally they were all connected through what they wanted to learn and share with each other. Thanks all for a great session. @LocalTrust #Connects21

Particular highlight of #Connects21 is The Long Lost Year - collab between @LocalTrust and @RIOT_SOUP to allow #biglocal communities to reflect on the pandemic in an artistic way, creating an interactive and cathartic exhibition space to honour loss and share experiences

Here on Day 2 of #Connects21 we’re kicking off with a youth forum. SO refreshing to see a room full of adults listening to kids for once. They’re talking about climate change, mental health & how to engage local young people. Ace to see Chloe and Lewis of @BLLV_GM2LF @LocalTrust
