The Halls film takes me back to a very specific kind of chaos and fun. This one was with Raj Nair and #ContractAdvertising, and somewhere in the middle of our conversations came the idea of the shivering dance, the simple thought that when you have a Halls, you feel that sudden cold through your body, and that feeling itself became the hook step. A cold shiver that became the hook step and the song Shiveringa. Manoj got the polar bear costume brought down from America, and because it was extremely hot inside, the production had to rig up an anaconda setup to help manage the temperature for the person wearing it. All of this was shot at VT station, with barely any time and very tight windows to get the film done. At its core, it was really a demo film, very directly about the product and the feeling it creates. Sometimes the simplest product truth gives you the most playful idea to build around.
