Having finished the 2023/24 tax return the end loss for all my #COPL endeavours chimed in at £22,457 (my biggest loss since I started investing in 2019)
Sounds horrific but I thought it was going to be well over double that. Luckily the rise from 1.6p to 4.5p gifted me a six figure win… Only for it to be wiped out (and some) with the falling through of the JV. With some exit trading and jiggery pokery the loss was minimised further.
I think that the fact it occurred a few days before Xmas 2023 made it seem even more brutal and I anticipated the loss to be much more.
Losses can be useful, as long as you learn and grow from them. The thing is to not make a habit of it… and of course support those around you when they post a defeat and praise those (who deserve it 😂) when they strike a winner. 🏆
Despite the set back and after a period of regrouping, the portfolio is now up 72% since the debacle and this investor is a little older and hopefully a little wiser. #Investing #Trading
