The CoG through the support of @unwomenkenya held a virtual meeting on 13th/8/2020 to induct 42 individuals comprising of women, youth and persons with disabilities as representatives of the special interest groups in the County Emergency Response Committees #CountiesInAction

While we note that one of the symptoms of the virus is abnormal temperature, most of the reported cases do not exhibit this symptom. Therefore the use of thermo-guns may not be fully effective in early detection of the virus. #KomeshaCorona #CountiesInAction

County Govts are committed to supporting the Police to check the infection rate among suspects who are held in police cells. At the same time the Counties provide support to the Prisons to ensure that remandees & prisoners are not endangered by this pandemic #CountiesInAction

County Governments have ensured uninterrupted water connection and installation of handwashing facilities with soap in the Isolation facilities, markets and bus stations. This has helped to curb the spread of #Covid19 #KomeshaCorona #CountiesInAction

Cumulatively in 40 Counties, 10,498 tests have been carried out of which 1,106 people have tested positive. Of this number, 177 are healthcare workers who tested positive across the Counties. #KomeshaCorona #CountiesInAction

Currently, there are 818 people in County quarantine facilities these facilities and 1,044 people who were confined in public quarantine facilities have been released. #KomeshaKorona #CountiesInAction
