He is missing key points and misrepresenting the conversation being referenced.
It's not that they aren't qualified to find bugs, it's that they aren't experienced enough to be performing beta testing. It's not just using the product like a normal user, it's about actively trying to make it break and looking for flaws. The loyal holders they have beta testing aren't doing that.
As for the bug bounty, the beta testing group is limited to 60-70 inexperienced people. Very small sample size to begin with, but none of the "white hats" can even look at it yet. Completely disingenuous statement.

this is obviously a joke in this case as I know @RocketGPT knows better than this but
its a VERY REAL risk to buy any hardware wallet secondhand.
malicious software can be installed on it to forward any keys derived on it in the future and you either get it FROM ledger/trezor
They then changed to blaming @certik & publicly threatened to sue them for what was essentially their own mistake.
Even went so far as to claim they had a law firm wanting to work for free to sue them.
