I'm a 30-yr cell &molecular biologist incl. yrs of hands-on work w viruses &had read Ralph Baric's MITTR interview that said the WIV had been flirting with disaster re: its SARSr bat virus work performed at BSL2. This was generally known as fact, the WIV had published a paper indicating this was their practice. Seeing my tweet Dr Rasmussen blocked &then smeared me as a 'gullible stupid conspiracist ghoul with zero expertise' (see screenshot below). If a block &smear has never happened to you, you might be surprised how shocking &demeaning it feels. Especially scientist to scientist. I'd never even interacted w Dr Rasmussen but somehow she made it her business to go after me, knowing nothing about me. PS: Rasmussen also went on to accuse me of being complicit somehow encouraging &excusing death threats she said were being made against her (I knew nothing about them but was sympathetic to her). This accusation was unfounded & wholly ridiculous. I am a Quaker and sworn pacifist condemning violence in all its forms. Never did I or would I ever condone or encourage violence against Dr. Rasmussen or any person. I made this abundantly clear to her to no avail. It was an unhinged attack on me &I have the screenshots.
