Is it important to develop your own LLM? ✨ During our #Supercloud5 broadcast with live analysis from AWS #reInvent, #CUBEcollective contributor @SarbjeetJohal shares that developing an LLM requires money, leadership, and skills, so there is no point in training a new model if we already have one. “I think we're training the large language models. It takes a lot of money. Not only money, leadership and a lot of skills. So, not everybody can do it. It's a scale business, number one. Number two, it's like a money business. The ransomware outlook in 2024 🚀 https://t.co/Qfa4pM5lKw In this episode, our principal analyst Shelly Kramer talks with #CUBEcollective contributor Jo Peterson about the rising number of ransomware attacks and their financial impact on victimized organizations. “Ransomware will cost victims around $265 billion annually by 2031. That is a crazy 815x more than the $325 million that organizations spent on ransomware in 2015. The different threat vectors and things like phishing emails are always very, very hot targets. Eighty to 95% of cyber attacks begin with phishing. 92% of malware was delivered by way of email,” Kramer explains. “The reality of it is, in the business world today, the vast majority of us get up every day and we check our email, we live in our email. That's how we communicate. These attacks are increasingly becoming more and more sophisticated. It's so easy to be taken advantage of. Exploring DLP solutions for modern data protection 🌐 https://t.co/0CQc72rMGR Join #theCUBEresearch principal analyst Shelly Kramer and #CUBEcollective contributor Jo Peterson, as they discuss different types of data loss prevention tools and their methods for determining context and content awareness. “DLP tools are designed to protect data. Data that's at rest, data that's in use, data that's in motion. These solutions are really capable of understanding the context and the content of the data that they're protecting. But let's take a look at some of the nuances of DLP. Full DLP protects data at rest, and in motion and it is context aware of what is being produced,” says Peterson. “Channel DLP is specific to a certain kind of data. So most often, data in motion and over a particular channel, for instance, that channel could be email. The major use cases of AI for boosting business productivity across the nation 🤖 According to Sarbjeet Johal, @StackPaneLLC’s CEO and #CUBEcollective contributor, some prominent use cases of AI will be in productivity boost, the proof of concepts (POCs), and production. “I think the productivity boost is the number one use case for people. So, if you go by people, process, technology, that frame of thinking, people are getting more productive. We need productivity. We have been going down in productivity in the U.S. for quite a number of years now. But now, this AI will let us come back and ramp up productivity.
