Angeles’ Fox Field has launched Forest Service Cessna Citation II Reconnaissance Aircraft #52K to use infrared technology to check both fire potential heat sources within the fire perimeter ahead the forecasted Red Flag conditions.
The technology helps firefighters patrolling the fires pinpoint heat sources.

Firefighters made good progress today, increasing containment to 96%. The fire remains at 150 acres. The fire is now in patrol status.
All evacuations have been lifted.
The Angeles National Forest and Los Angeles County Fire have moved out of Unified Command.

Fire containment is at 72% as of 0600 this morning.
Los Angeles County Fire Department flew a drone (Unmanned Aircraft System - UAS) over the fire last night and detected some residual heat within the fire perimeter. Firefighters will focus efforts today on working those areas to find and extinguish hot spots.
An Evacuation Order remains in effect for GOR-E004-D.

The Danny Fire has a diverse group of firefighters on scene today. It is a good example of the interdepartmental and interagency teamwork that can occur during a wildfire. Besides @Angeles_NF and @LACOFD firefighters, there are engine crews and equipment from Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Idaho (@sandhollowfire) working the fire today. We also have help from National Forests in Northern California (we see you Redding IHC, @LassenNF and @ShastaTrinityNF) and our SoCal neighbors - @LosPadresNF, @SanBernardinoNF and @ClevelandNF lending a hand with Interagency Hotshot Crews (IHC) and a water tender.
The fire remains in Unified Command with Los Angeles County Fire Department.
An Evacuation Order is still in place for GOR-E004-D
Evacuation Warnings remain in place for GOR-HUNGRYVALLEY-D and GOR-E004-C.

The #DannyFire has Ash and Dirt coming off of the Burnscar, use Caution on the I-5 South and North Bound, there is no Flare Up on the Fire as well, it’s currently 29% Contained.
