Another part of the bill reduces the types of photo IDs that already-registered voters can show when they arrive at at their polling place to vote. College and university students, for instance, will no longer be permitted to use their student IDs. The ban extends to IDs issued by public colleges and universities — even though such schools are, obviously, run by the state of Florida. In fact, under the new law, Florida will now permit voters to use any photo ID card issued by any government agency. Unless, that is, the agency happens to be an educational institution”
