At last! A rather technical paper on using simulation to compare how you can get different conclusions from different analyses of a dataset - nothing new to trials people, but it still needs saying - applied to a reading intervention https://t.co/LtpBG2KTij #DeclareDesign
A simple case where #DeclareDesign provides really useful insights for applied researchers like myself. This package is fantastic! I have benefitted from it a lot, and I am very excited to read the teams' related book once it comes out!
@aecoppock @aecoppock, I agree that identifying small diffs-in-sates is really challenging, but to the extent that researchers care about "opposite fx of the same magnitude as SATE_A", perhaps power isn't that bad...
Long shot: I've got a few questions regarding a tricky #experimentaldesign I am working on and was wondering whether anyone here who has experience would be willing to think along with me/give some advice. #phdchat #rstats #declaredesign
Finally working through https://t.co/MASdSGpyOk from @aecoppock et al. #declaredesign (#rstats) seems set up to do a lot of what I've worked to code 'manually'. Anyone else in experimental #EconTwitter #psychtwitter #DataScience using this tool? -->
For anyone working with #DeclareDesign in #RStats: check out the #DeclareDesignWizard by @WZB_Berlin. A super great resource! https://t.co/gkBblgMb3N
@dktr_dr @aecoppock @maqartan @graemedblair Thanks very much for these Daniel. #declaredesign is such a great package.
BTW the summer TDW series has some amazing pol sci folks that hopefully you and your students will be interested in. David Shor and Laura Bronner, among others.
Has anyone used #DeclareDesign when running a pre-post block cluster experiment?I am looking for a way to combine the block cluster and pre-post designs from the r package, & was wondering if anyone has code to do this
p.s. I am still learning abt this awesome resource!
My incredible lab manager @john_pezzuto left the lab yesterday for a new job @HarvardHBS. His fingerprints are on everything that came out of the lab in the past 2 years and that will come out soon. Check out just 1 of his contributions, an award-winning #DeclareDesign tutorial!!
If you'd like to get started with DeclareDesign but aren't sure how, check out this tutorial (that *also* received a SIPS Commendation!) https://t.co/hsnA5Tadxb
@aecoppock's #randomizr solves the people's #experimentaldesign problems...

So happy to share (w/ @_knrd + @zerinahuang) the DDWizard, a web app to define, inspect, and share research designs based on the #DeclareDesign framework and #rstats. No R required!

The main objection Iβve heard to preregistration is that current practice allows people to pass off exploratory findings as preregistered. Best solution Iβve seen is #declaredesign by @aecoppock https://t.co/A7aOjioqyN
Excited to see this paper out! I've found the #DeclareDesign framework very useful, even as someone who doesn't 'do' experiments. It's important for #ResearchTransparency to be explicit about the assumptions behind your #ResearchDesign and honest about your process.
Thank you @graemedblair @jasperjcooper @aecoppock and @maqartan for an #rstats cheatsheet on #DeclareDesign, tools for testing research designs! Available at https://t.co/OZVUTmmWuT @rstudio
Forthcoming in the American Political Science Review by @graemedblair, @jasperjcooper, @aecoppock, @maqartan on #DeclareDesign, a great transparency tool for describing research designs in code.

(3) we extensively discussed how to code dependent and independent variables; (4) for physiological measures (which we collect) this is crucial because these measures can be operationalized in many ways; (5) we need to learn more about power analyses (and #DeclareDesign).
New blog post by @graemedblair @aecoppock @maqartan @jaspercooper featured in the @WorldBank Blog! Read it here: https://t.co/2oPIo6PZjY #DeclareDesign
