Imagine @euronews the Irish @NSAI_Standards have this proposal

Why would anyone include this in a revised standard. This all related to #defectiveblocks!

The freeze/thaw theory was well debunked by the scientists. It is an abberation that it is still included in the proposed revised #IS465 . We don’t live in the Arctic and the levels of freezing and thawing required to cause #mica to be a problem in most cases simply does not exist in our climate.
In identifying, beyond doubt, that #pyrrhotite and #framboidal_pyrite as the culprits, is it not now obvious that tinkering is still going on to save face for some engineers.
More worrying is the apparent intention to increase the level of allowable #pyrrhotite content to 0.3% when the EU Regulations and guidelines only allow for 0.1%.
Is this not the very same attitude to EU Rules and Regulations and their application, or, in the case of our recent governments, non application, that created this nightmare in the first place?
