💚 Supporting the communities we serve
At #DESFA, we believe #infrastructure development must go hand in hand with creating lasting value for #society. True to this belief, we’ve donated 27 defibrillators to local communities across the Regional Units of #Imathia and #Kozani in Central and Western Macedonia during two handover ceremonies held on July 22 in Kozani and #Veria in the presence of regional and local authorities representatives.
This initiative is part of our broader #CorporateSocialResponsibility program and aims to strengthen local #resilience and #emergencypreparedness along the route of the soon-to-be-completed #WestMacedoniaPipeline. By equipping local services and citizens with #lifesaving tools - and providing the necessary #training for their safe and effective use - we’re helping ensure faster response times and better outcomes in cases of cardiac arrest.🚑
💬 As DESFA CEO Maria Rita Galli stated: “Alongside the energy pipeline we are developing, which will soon connect Central and Western Macedonia, this donation reflects DESFA’s broader commitment: to be present, proactive, and responsible in the places where we operate. The defibrillators being delivered today are a small but vital gesture - one that could one day help save lives." The Regional Governor of West Macedonia, Georgios Amanatidis, honoured the event with his presence, delivering an opening address in which he highlighted the significance of the donation and the pipeline to West Macedonia for the region.
🤝🏼 We're proud to stand by the regions where we develop our network and operate, with a strong commitment to #health, #safety, and #sustainability - generating long-term positive impact for both the #energysystem and #localcommunities. 🌍
