I’ve got heat sinks installed with the #RaspberryPi4 inside the official case. When idle it stays around 60 degrees C, spikes up to 70-75 while watching YouTube vids in Chromium. No slowdown in performance - actually quite usable! #DesktopPiChallenge

Conclusion so far, as a basic web browsing PC and for generic coding tasks the new Pi 4 is great.
However it's not up to some of my weekly tasks I have to do
I *might* need to go back to my PC for some things.
I can connect my 2tb USB 3 drive though!

An update!
So far I've not been able to install Adobe InDesign or VScode (might need advice from @Gadgetoid about that one) but PowerPoint works great!
It's Day 2 of #DesktopPiChallenge!
The Pi failed to boot a few times which is strange but it's all working now.
List of things to do today: Get VScode working to fix some bugs, last minute prep for @teknoteacher's exabytes and install Adobe InDesign!

With a few tabs of chrome open, reading an online revision book and got a few libre office files open. The @Raspberry_Pi 4 is around 67°C in temperature.
This is very usable as a day to day desktop computer!
So, my Pi is all setup and working!
Just got a display issue to sort out but apart from that, the Pi feels like a desktop computer!
Using Chrome is a breeze and website are quick to load. Now onto Physics revision ☹️. One more exam to go!
