#DF26 カンファレンスの感想を偉そうに書いたが、結局1番の想い出は、社員と一緒に回ったかけがえのない時間。
これから辛い時や悲しい時も共にするだろう。楽しい記憶達がそれらを癒してくれる。写真はGoogle自転車でGoogleキャンパスを回ったときの。他にも沢山の記憶を共にした。

・もう一つ必ず行きたかった「ウォルト・ディズニー・ファミリー記念館」に。尊敬する稀代の起業家であるウォルトディズニー。
・娘であるダイアン・ディズニーが運営だからこそ、蒸気船ウィリーの初期原画、ディズニーランドの草案時の模型などの歴史遺産が。
・ディズニー社の物語はよく聞くが、起業家ウォルト・ディズニーを深掘りして理解したかった。
・初ヒット作品のオズワルドを当てるものの契約書の罠にかかり著作権を全て失うことに。破産の危機の中で生み出されたキャラクターが「ミッキーマウス」。
・当時アニメーションを見る習慣がなく短編以外の長編アニメーションは共同創業者のロイ・ディズニーも反対。自宅を抵当権に入れて借入した作品が「白雪姫」。これが外れてたらディズニー社のその後はなかった。150万ドルの制作費で現在の価値からすると天文学的数字。
・ウォルトはバンク・オブ・アメリカへの脅威の資金調達に成功し、その結果4億ドルのウルトラメガヒット。
・そこで得た利益を全て注ぎ込みバーバンクスタジオを設立し、ピノキオとファンタジアを同時制作。上映前に第二次世界大戦が勃発し、歴史的大赤字の結果で破産寸前。制作費を極限まで削った次回作「ダンボ」がメガヒットし再起。
・戦争によりスタジオが没収されたため、50代になり全財産をベットしたのが「ディズニーランド」。取締役会からも否決され、銀行融資の資金調達は300回断られる。そのため会社でなく私財を全て投げ売り、私財で実現したのがディズニーランド。
・そして現在の大成功に繋がった。稀代のクリエイターと同時に、異常な投資判断が現在のディズニーを創り上げた。全ての大賭けに勝ち続た不屈の起業家精神そのもの。
・綿密な事業計画や中期計画などなく、その都度目の前の瞬間瞬間に全てを賭けた投資。見たことないレベルの投資とクオリティだから結果としてリターン効率が高いのだ。与信と財力でパワーゲームを行った連続起業家ともいえる。なんだかんだ毎回資金調達にうまくいってるのはオズワルドの与信、ミッキーマウスの信頼らにより生み出された信頼があるから。
・スタートアップの平均は死。だから異常な投資に毎回勝ち続けて初めて到達できる莫大なリターン。普通に投資して普通に実行したら、破産するのがスタートアップ。コモディティになったスタートアップ業界の通説は、平均になるだけ。原則、異常な投資と異常な実行だけが信じられる。
・PeopleXでもこの原則を信じ続けようと誓った。特にスタートアップ企業なのに、固定費を上げるな。PMF前の投資は慎重になど、成功を信じた投資判断より保守的な通説が目立つ傾向にある。確かに死なないためには重要だが、爆発的な成功にはそれではスピードが遅れる。PeopleXもPMF前に月のバーンレートは1億円弱だった。それが今の（彼らに比べたらほんの少しの）成功に繋がった。投資した者でしか実現できないスピードがある。それが許されるのはまた、信頼なのだろう。
