📍Happening now at the Kigali Genocide Memorial: the celebration of the International Day for Countering Hate Speech and the validation of Rwanda’s Draft National Action Plan to Prevent and Combat Hate Speech. Bringing together government institutions, development partners, youth representatives, and other stakeholders, the event underscores Rwanda’s commitment to safeguarding unity, social cohesion, and peaceful coexistence through prevention, education, and collective action against hate speech. The National Action Plan seeks to strengthen coordinated efforts to prevent and combat hate speech, empower youth as Digital Peace Ambassadors, and promote positive narratives that counter misinformation and divisive content, especially across digital platforms. Together, we say NO to hate speech and YES to unity, respect, and peace. 🇷🇼 #CounteringHateSpeech #DigitalPeaceAmbassadors #NoToHateSpeech 🕊️🇷🇼
