On March 6, Lucinda Kamara, 30, was arrested and charged with driving on a revoked license in Rutherford County, Tennessee. Usually, licenses are revoked for receiving too many tickets in a 12-month timeframe or other serious convictions. Kamara is originally from Sierra Leone. She currently works in the assisted living industry. She is most likely a permanent resident or naturalized citizen. While there are easily accessible studies providing data on the countries of origins for immigrants arrested in the U.S., it’s not easy to find information, if it’s even available at all, that delineates black Americans from black naturalized citizens who are not ADOS/FBA. If she is a naturalized citizen, her arrest will contribute to the generalized crime data for black Americans.
