Well after struggling with a chroot env containing a #Gentoo #Linux Stage 3 FS to run a cross-compiler on my #archlinux #amd64 box I've installed now a #powerpc #GCC collection from the AUR repo instead 💪😁 #distcc seems to run well now 🤞 #retrocomputing #iMac #Apple

Does anyone have experience using tools like #distcc (https://t.co/AWYXME0O2K) which "distributes builds of C, C++, Objective C or Objective C++ code across several machines on a network". We'd ❤️ to optimize the FreeCAD build time and we're open for volunteers to help us 🤓

I recently set up #distcc for our compilation processes on several un- or less used machines in the office, and compile times are almost a third of what they used to be. This is amazing O_O #cpp #programming

#100DaysOfCode Day 040/100: #distcc is a fantastic tool. I always thought it would be very complicated to compile big projects on lots of machines. Now I see how simple it was all along. Why no one says anything about these amazing stuff that c++ has? #coding #CodeNewbie
