Prompt broken, can't share :(
This has been turning over in my brain since i read it yesterday.
I haven't arrived at an answer yet.

Following an in-game incident involving a brain transplant, players in my game are debating how many body parts thier characters can lose or have replaced before it counts as a character death
Love hate relationship with these ragtag adventurers 😭😭

Spent 6 hours crafting an intricate political intrigue plot. Players immediately ignored it to adopt a stray goblin and start her training as a paladin. Classic. I couldn't be happier.

DM: spends 6 hours crafting an intricate political intrigue plot 🤔📝
Party: adopts a goblin, starts a bakery, and burns down the mayor’s house “accidentally” 🧁🔥
DM: “...Roll for initiative.” 🎲😭 #DnD #DMProblems
I'm waiting for them to have the need to play #dnd to be motivated. Preparation gets daunting when people cancel the last minute...😂

In describing a magic item to my players I said it looked fancy, like a fantasy Eddie Bauer bag.
One of the players misheard.
The entire table now refers to it as the Ed Hardy Haversack. #DMProblems #DnD #TTRPGs
I was so afraid that I almost had a TPK tonight in our homebrew game that when we ended session, I had a little bit of a cry. I don't know how to handle this as a dm. #dungeonsanddragons #dmproblems
The more I delve into 5e, the more I'm convinced 3.5e, for all its flaws, is the superior ruleset.
I KEEP having to make house rules for 5e. My 3.5e house rules list is much shorter, though there are a FEW changes from 5e I'm happy to house rule into 3.5e #DnD #TTRPG #DMProblems
Me seeing Stealth trending and finding out the discussion is not about DM best practices of managing player's expectations about their paladins being able to sneak around in full armor without making a sound.

So I'm thinking about making a #dungeonsanddragons YouTube channel. Mostly to help new players figure things out, but I dunno. Should I start with an intro into the players handbook as a whole? Or do I break it down piece by piece right from the get go?

Never let your party have a Deck of Many Things. Not because of some game-changing bullshit card, but because you are not prepared to deal with one of them suddenly insulting a fish's mother in order to try to resolve a Comet card. #DnD #DMProblems
Byzen.
Byzen, stop.
Stop writing things that are happening ten sessions from now and focus on the session you haven't written yet.

I did not realise how hard trying to understand FoundryVTT would be. It took me a week to figure out why my players couldn't see each other on the maps. #dungeonsanddragons #dmproblems #DnD
When you create an NPC to practice your fuckboy acting skills and it worked too well and now there is a love triangle 😅

Last game session took an unexpected twist and ended on a big cliffhanger. Now I have to prep for a massive conflict I didn't see coming which everyone is hyped for 😅 Which means I have to find the time to make a map which will do the scene justice! #DMProblems #ttrpg
I just made a mistake. I was introducing my new players to dnd classes, and I described ranger as "good at survival, has animal companion". And my players LOVE animals, and now we have three rangers in a one shot 😭

How many ttrpg groups are having to take two weeks off for the holidays? I miss playing with my people! 😭 #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #ttrpg #dmproblems
