Mac Anu now has music and I created 3 new NPCs. They just take up space right now, but getting used to map designs. Also, I forgot to place her, but roof Ouka just seems appropriate lol

So I completed Mac Anu. Some parts of the buildings and shadows look a lil off as the image I used had dark spots I had to fill with already available tiles. It did slow the launch a bit, but I need to test more

Slowly building out the rest of the Mac Anu map. It seems like a lot but I'm not sure if adjusting the camera setting later will fix that or if I wanna build out Zones instead

Working with the tilesets and camera now. Gonna try to get a full map built, a couple more NPCs and proper tracking on the camera so its not so zoomed out.

I love #Godot man. I was so prepared to try and code this from scratch and the camera just worked right away. Needd tweaking, sure, but what I thought would be more involved was literally as simple as clicking the right Node.

Been a hot minute since I last updated, but the current playable build is up. Now you too can experience an incomplete game as I continue to work on it!

Changed the replay condition to load back into the sprites. One I learn the proper structure for save stating, we'll have ourselves a game in progress

A debugging habit I've had since school is to have every interaction print something. This way I know the code is at least reaching it. That said interact button still needs work but NPC chats on collision now

The tutorial I'm following may have been a tad more involved than I need, but I have an interact button and a simple diaglogue system. Gonna take this out of the test environment soon

I cant make pixel art to save my life but working with them is much easier than I expected. Created collision and an "Action" button. Just need to get dialoge working then we are in business

So the ultimate goal will be that you pick your Avatar, roam around a couple maps and battle NPCs. I dont know if I want to push a story or not but that can be decided later

Thanks to @dothacknetwork, i have some decent quality sprites from .hack//Chat so I can build the RPG side of the game. Doin some sprite testing to take a break from the card system but it looks promising!

Ok so I think my ULTIMATE goal after I can get the card game side fully functioning, is to build out a very tiny RPG around it. I loved the old yugioh and Pokemon ones so maybe I can make a simple one?

Progress has definitely been slow, but as my professor always used to say "celebrate the little triumphs." So here is a title screen transition into gameplay. Its everything thats working so far

Not a ton of progress, but trying to figure out an elegant way to have these popups appear and keep the flow of battle solid. More foundation should probably be laid, huh? Lol
