Today, the Problem Solvers Caucus announced the formation of a bipartisan working group focused on addressing extreme partisan gerrymandering across the country.
The creation of this working group comes at a time when Americans across the political spectrum are increasingly frustrated with a system in which politicians choose their voters instead of voters choosing their representatives.
We believe bipartisan reforms are needed to restore competitiveness, fairness, and accountability to the democratic process.
The mid-decade #redistricting wars are frequently described as “a race to the bottom.” But the further down we go, the harder it will be to climb back up.
