Today @FrontLineHRD wrapped up their #dublinplatform gathering of 105 #HRDs from 100 countries. A week in which the #GazaGenocide was foremost in everyone’s minds. Just as one mural caught my attention on the way to the conference so this one stood out on the way home.
Walking towards the @FrontLineHRD #dublinplatform today saw this mural reminder that securitisation of #CivicSpace & society through police use of technology is expanding but #HRDs are resisting & ensuring rights are respected
This week, we participated in the #DublinPlatform with the presence of WHRDs Adalinda Gutiérrez, Katherine Cruz (@RedDefensoras), Karla Guevara (Alejandria Collective and @rdefensoras), Rosa Chávez (@JASS_Meso), along with María Martín, advocacy coordinator of IM-Defensoras.
Stand in solidarity with Ieva Raubiško @Ieraub a brave defender from Latvia who is facing persecution for her legitimate efforts to support Syrian asylum seekers seeking justice. She is currently awaiting a court decision on her case on October 31 @FrontLineHRD #DublinPlatform
At the #DublinPlatform in 🇮🇪 organized by our partner @FrontLineHRD, @SwissPeaceHR had valuable exchanges on the topic of #HumanRightsDefenders, a great opportunity for actors in #HumanRights to discuss the many challenges and possible solutions for Defenders at the frontline.
