The issue with Labour's #DuckGate isn't so much the embarrassing content (and inconsistency with Barbara Edmonds otherwise excellent record of playing the issue, not the person) it is the question of *who* leaked the audio, and why.
The actual audio of Labourโs Finance spokesperson Barbara Edmonds referring to Nicola Willis as a โduck-faced horseโ and hearing her laugh about it, is far worse than seeing it in print.
Truly nasty stuff from Edmonds and Labour.

Big win for the 1st amendment!! The 6 mo long investigation into the rubber duckies left by canton residents has been dismissed. Charges for the #canton9 were dismissed earlier this year. Looks like there are still some decent judges thankfully. ๐๐ผ

In Judge Walsh's decision he mocks the Canton Police Department by quoting Make Way for Ducklings,ย putting conspiracy theorists in quotations (as if it's absurd to think that only a conspiracy theorist could think that John O'Keefe wasn't hit by a car), pointing out the fact that they had a confidential informant tasked with collecting rubber ducks, and putting "impossible" in quotations while citing Taylor's report which stated as a fact that it was impossible for anyone but Karen Read to have killed John O'Keefe. Judge Walsh also makes it clear that all of Schiffer's speech is protected by the First Amendment.

Criminal Charges Dismissed Against the Rubber Duckie King, Richie Schiffer
Judge Walsh in Stoughton district court just dismissed all the felony and criminal witness intimidation and harassment charges against Schiffer for placing rubber duckies in the vicinity of D&E Pizza in Canton, citing a lack of probable cause and the protections of the 1st Amendment. ๐บ๐ธ
Schiffer still faces misdemeanor charges of littering. ๐
Schiffer has freely admitted to providing the little yellow ducks to protestors in Canton who believe Chris Albert and his son Colin are guilty of participating in and covering up the murder of John OโKeefe, and helping to frame #KarenRead.
