2/2 @CAREZimbabwe Country Director @pcsikana , led the mission delegates as theymet and interacted with #ECRASproject participants in ward 3 where the project constructed a 50 000 cubic meter dam that is supporting an estimated 400 households from 6 villages.

1/2Deputy Minister @VPHaritatos commended the @ZRBFZIM for its supportive and collaborative approach working with the ministry in impacting 24,534 households to build resilience across 12 out of 18 wards in the district under the #ECRASProject led by @CAREGlobal.

Water technologies have empowered communities in #Zimbabwe to build resilience to #climatechange.
Under the @ZRBFZIM #ECRASproject, @CAREZimbabwe and partners have drilled boreholes and built dams and water schemes in Mwenezi and Chiredzi districts to face the dry season.
Under the @ZRBFZIM #ECRASproject 283 boreholes were rehabilitated while 31 were drilled, 41 solar pumped boreholes & solar powered piped water schemes & 3 dams were established in Mwenezi and Chiredzi districts in partnership with @PlanZimbabwe & @ICRISAT. #water #climatechange
Skills development and income generating activities are necessary for youths, particularly young women, to become change makers in their communities.

The group was capacitated with machinery & food processing training from @ZRBFZIM #ECRASPROJECT led by #CARE in partnership with @PlanZimbabwe & @ICRISAT. These are part of the 10 783 youths capacitated by the project in resilience building in 29 wards of Mwenezi & Chiredzi.
