@AngelaET630 Thank you for hosting! #EDTechMDChat
Q7: I love Glogster EDU, Quizlet, Class Hero, Mobymax (free for one classroom), Picto4me( great for word walls for ESOL) Imagine Learning to name a few. #Edtechmdchat
Q7: What are some educational technology resources that you use in your classroom? #EdTechMDChat
#EDTechMDChat A7: My students do a lot of research for science and information writing on PebbleGo. It's a great resource because it reads to them! They also listen to reading on our Epic! app
A7: Kahoot, Epic Books, Freckle, Padlet, Google Slides, Google Docs, Prodigy, Dreambox, Flocabulary, Youtube. #EDTechMDChat
#EDTechMDChat A7: I have used https://t.co/nAiPDd1PRJ and https://t.co/uQcdbE9u1k for my ELA classes with success, along with YouTube and Google Forms. Have also taken advantage of my LMS (Schoology) 'discussion board' option and digital rubrics for grading and feedback purposes.
Q7: What are some educational technology resources that you use in your classroom? #EdTechMDChat
A7: YouTube, Google Classroom, ClipChamp, and G Suite. I want to use more. #EDTechMDChat
A6: My school can improve by mainstreaming the Ed tech sources. So many of our students have a google classroom, a canvas classroom, and other online classrooms which results in the students getting overwhelmed. #edtechmdchat
Q6: How can your school improve its use of Educational Technology? #EdTechMDChat
A6: More professional development, more training, and Mentoring. Mentoring is the greatest asset we have in my opinion. #EDTechMDChat
Q6: How can your school improve its use of Educational Technology? #EdTechMDChat
A6: We have a new math curriculum that doesn't have any technology integrated into any lessons. But the assessments are on an online, interactive platform. I guess I would like the county to work on this to make it more cohesive. #EDTechMDChat
Q6: How can your school improve its use of Educational Technology? #EdTechMDChat
#EDTechMDChat A6: I think mandating some form of training so that all staff are familiar with certain technology forms (powerpoint, google, etc.) would probably be helpful! My school has a lot of optional training but we aren't always all on the same 'page' so to speak.
Q6: How can your school improve its use of Educational Technology? #EdTechMDChat
A5: After looking into my schools technology program, I really love the amount of focus that they put on learning different applications and using the internet safely. I just wish we had enough devices to extend this to our classroom #EDTechMDChat
#EDtechmdchat Maybe you can be the one that brings technology to the forefront in your school. :)
Q4: Technology has helped my students grow in their math and reading skills, by incorporating applications like ClassHero and Mobymax. My lessons are filled with engaging activities and the use of Kahoot. The kids are more engaged. #Edtechmdchat
A4: I think it motivates my students more when I use technology. Some of my students more willing to participate in activities that involve technology. #EDTechMDChat
A4: Technology has forced me to think about the different learning styles of my students. It is pushing me out of my comfort zone to make learning more interactive and engaging for them. #edtechmdchat
#Edtechmdchat A3: I have adapted technology in my classroom in many ways. First, students may use their computers to type instead of write or create powerpoints, use of virtual manipulatives, or use of learning centers (differentiated tasks).
@AngelaET630 #EDTechMDChat A3: Yes! I use technology in the same way, Angela. I've found that it provides a lot of choice for my students. Even first graders can make choices to either extend their learning or make the lesson better match their learning style.
A3: I like to work with technology that can be used in multiple ways. I love to use the website EPIC Books with my students because they can have a choice as to what they want to read, but they can also have the choice of if they want it read to them or not. #edtechmdchat
A3: I like that technology gives me tools to support students - for example they can use speech-to-text to write papers or use audio to listen to a story. #EDTechMDChat
Q3: How can you adapt technology in your classroom to reach all learning styles? #EdTechMDChat
