That’s thousands of acres of productive farmland being sacrificed for a net zero agenda that is driving up energy bills and destroying our economy. While the people of Norfolk object, Mad Ed Miliband seems determined to push these schemes through irregardless of our views. These developments bring construction traffic, large vehicles on small rural roads, noise from substations, fire risks , and the industrialisation of our countryside. Here’s the hypocrisy: many of these solar panels are imported from China, one of the world’s biggest polluters, and transported thousands of miles to the UK by ships that produce significant emissions. Because emissions don’t appear on Britain’s balance sheet, politicians claim we’re getting cleaner while actually taking a dirtier approach by offshoring the pollution elsewhere. We should be investing in reliable nuclear power and using our own domestic energy resources, not covering thousands of acres of farmland with solar factories. The net zero zealots call this progress. I call it economic suicide.
