“Non-PBM pharmacies limit access.” No — PBMs pull their contracts to punish them for opting out of the scam. Other countries don’t use PBMs—and they don’t have these access issues. The problem isn’t going PBM-free. The problem is PBMs. #EndPBMs

Reforms may help around the edges. Transparency is good. Audits are overdue. But as long as PBMs are allowed to exist in the middle, they’ll find new ways to exploit the system. We don’t need to regulate PBMs better. We need to remove them entirely. #EndPBMs

@DrugChannels @Carolynyjohnson @washingtonpost @Aetna As an MD & an #RAwarrior I experience similar EVERY SINGLE JANUARY for myself (>12yrs), MONTHLY for my patients, & repeatedly in 2022 helping my sister obtain needed meds to heal from pancreatic cancer. 👉I’m currently awaiting a prior auth for a med I’ve taken for years…1/

@OklahomaLP Even more contributory to the crisis, government gave Pharmacy Benefit Management corps power over drug prices paid to pharmacies and charged to insurance companies without fiduciary responsibility. They make far more per Rx than Dr, Pharma or pharmacy. #EndPBMs

@RenniaBlood great risk of skipping meds due to cost. This is esp true in Jan when deduct's reset. Who can afford 3 mos of 10 diff meds all at one time b/c they're in their deductible corridor? I surely can't. No other industry gets to do this. None. #endPBMs #PBMshurtpatients #MedTwitter
