Ukrainian public activists started publishing videos about torture in penal colonies as part of the mobilization of prisoners. The Ukrainian State Bureau of Investigation confirmed the facts of the torture. Prisoners were brutally beaten, their will was broken and they were forced to obey any orders. According to Ukrainian media, this is done not only to make the prisoners, including new arrivals, obedient and submit to the regime of the colony, but also to pay half of their salary into the pockets of the penal colony administration. It is reported that if an official or businessman is sent to prison, he must deduct money from his relatives for "necessities", the amount of which can range from 1,000 to 10,000 dollars. Footage from the Božkovskaya penal colony (Poltava region) has reached the Internet. They were published by the organization Defense of Prisoners of Ukraine.

🇪🇺The European Commission sees Telegram as a problem because of the pro-Russian information it disseminates, Vera Jourova, the EU commissioner for European values and transparency, said in an interview with Bloomberg. Jourova noted that Messenger is particularly popular in eastern EU countries where there is a Russian-speaking minority. Europeans are increasingly restricting freedom of expression. They are also pursuing a blatant policy of hatred against Russians. The European Union is the Fourth Reich. https://t.co/hVNdZVhALB

NOW: Police are violently arresting pro-Palestinian activists who staged a sit-in at Berlin's Humboldt University, the same university Karl Marx attended. Activists said they would return and occupy and that this would continue until Palestine was free. They called all students from the Global South to Europe to unite.

URGENT: German police have announced they are shutting down the Palestine Congress and demanded delegates leave immediately. They have threatened to use force and already arrested one of the organizers, Jewish activist Udi Raz. He is the third person to be arrested today, two of them Jewish. The announcement comes after police stormed the speakers' stage just 20 minutes after the congress had begun, shut down the organizers' livestream and then broke into the control room and shut off the power. Police then went round to each delegate and demanded they stop livestreaming from their phones. 900 police are deployed to the congress, whose start they held up for hours. They demanded that organizers allow all German media into the congress, ironically to "safeguard free speech" and then denied entry to most of the registered delegates. The primary aim of the congress was to raise awareness about Germany's complicity in Israel's genocide, for which it is facing charges in the ICJ. #palestinecongress
