Day 3: News is that the COMPET and Council are meeting an hour early today for further negotiations. It seems like there is a lot to discuss still.

The last day of #EuroSim22 negotiations starts in a few hours.
EuCo still has to agree on the wording vis-à-vis China.
In COMPET, many countries are demanding compensation from the EU for missing subsidies.
EP seems to have reached a decision so far.
Looking forward to it!
If the states in EuCo would finally come to a clear statement towards China, it would probably be successful #EuroSim22 negotiations for EU.
Many countries are still not satisfied with the course taken by Germany and Spain.

INSIDER information from #EuroSim22 EuCo:
Some Member States still would like to highlight the importance of China as a 'strong diplomatic and economic partner' instead of officially denouncing Chinese behaviour. Among them are Spain and Germany.
Amendments are now passed on Article 13. Chapter 6 to be discussed tomorrow alongwith IMCO and INTA amendments. The Chair appreciates the role of Croatia in pushing the agenda for the compensation.

Meanwhile, the discussions in #EuroSim22 EuCo are going well and fluidly according to Pedro Sanchez, the Spanish Prime Minister. A joint statement on the USA has been agreed and tomorrow there will be a final discussion on the approach to China.
