Citrulline works by bypassing liver breakdown (unlike direct arginine), raising systemic arginine/NO for better microcirculation without GI side effects.
This acute protection highlights blood flow’s role in preventing stress-related gut issues (e.g., from workouts, heat, or sympathetic stress).
It’s not a full “reversal” of established leaky gut but offers rapid preventive/resilience benefits.
