1/ Many of you might already be familiar with #ExtraFi—a leveraged LP platform on Optimism and #Base that allows you to yield farm ETH-USDC on platforms like #Aerodrome.
Here’s how people typically achieve 1.5x leverage on $AERO as an example:
Option 1: Long 1.5x $AERO on a futures exchange.
Option 2: Borrow/Leverage 1.5x on a lending platform like #Moonwell.
Option 3: Leverage yield farm (3x AERO-USDC LP) on ExtraFi, which makes you 1.5x long on AERO.
2/ Options 1 & 2 are fine, but they come with drawbacks:
Option 1: Pay 10% APR on USDC debt and earn zero yield on your $AERO.
Option 2: Borrow on #Moonwell, but the APR on $AERO is only 2.1%.
What makes ExtraFi different?
Earn 115% APR on your LP while being 1.5x long $AERO.
Drawback: Your liquidation threshold is $AERO dropping -37%, compared to -48% on Moonwell.
Important: As $AERO rises, your leverage ratio decreases faster on ExtraFi since part of your $AERO is sold for USDC in the LP.
TL;DR: With intelligent position management, ExtraFi’s APR makes up for these drawbacks.
3/ However, ExtraFi works only with constant AMM pools, not concentrated liquidity pools.
Enter @ArcadiaFi.
Arcadia Finance is similar to ExtraFi but supports concentrated liquidity pools (Uniswap v3, Slipstream) on #Base.
Here’s what you can do with ArcadiaFi:
1️⃣ Leverage long LP with available assets.
2️⃣ Leverage short LP.
3️⃣ Leverage pseudo-delta-neutral LP.
4️⃣ Lend assets to leverage farmers (Leveragoooors 🚜).
4/ I’m currently testing their Slipstream 2.9x leverage ETH-USDC pool, farming Aero tokens at 300% APR while being 1.4x long ETH.
⚠️ Note: Managing concentrated LP positions is trickier than on ExtraFi, but the APR is incredible.
