Hey, #ExEvangelicals, remember the word, "Winsome?"
It's been a decade, & the secular world is just now discovering it, thanks to @iamjohnoliver.
Here it is at 14:50:

@GShaneMorris Actually, it was more than a trickle, and they told you and told you, as did black and mainline colleagues (like me). But #evangelicals froze us all out, then cut them out, turning them into #exvies.
That’s 95%+ fault on the evangelical/fundy leadership and their #followersheep.
THIS is the man just arrested for sexual abuse of young boys. Was he a library drag queen?
No. Surprise, surprise: the charges are from when he was a YOUTH PASTOR. Worse, his new church KNEW he'd abused church kids, but STILL hired him.
Insanely, hiring him is LEGAL, because while typically North Carolina sex offenders must stay 300 feet away from kids, according to local WSOC-TV, there's an exception in their law that allows it.
The reason for the exception: everyone has the right to practice their religion.
How crazy is this?
I'm sure now the Republican-controlled legislature, and ALL right-wing Christian governors like Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis will come to Jesus –prioritize laws that ban churches from hiring sex offenders.
Because they sure as hell should leave those of us in the LGBT+ community alone.
@604Atheist @godless_mom @UnderMaker442 @exfundie_stacie @apostate_mommie @tokyoraspberry @Natey5J ‘‘Twas grand! Nice to meet more BC #exvies
Oh my gosh, #EXVIES! This lovely creator made #OurFlagMeansDeath animations, to the tune of "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything!"
I am ded.

This is why #ADHD screenings should be a part of cult exit recovery.
The sheer overwhelming volume of dopamine available during the love-bombing phase will make ppl w/untreated #ADHD feel the MOST normal they've ever felt in their lives. #exvangelical #EmptyThePews #exvies
I knew Ginni Thomas. Ginni Thomas was in a cult (the large group awareness training cult, Lifespring). Here she is in 1989 speaking at an event I hosted for former members. Until today, almost NO one has seen this video.
#Exvies, what churches have you attended?
I'll go first.
(Remember, I've moved over 20 times.)
-SBC (Southern Baptist Convention)
-GCM (Great Commission Churches)
-C&MA (Christian & Missionary Alliance)
How many times can you say brazen one one post? Sheesh.
I personally know that too many #Exvies have endured abuse at the hands of the church. BUT LETS NOT TALK ABOUT THAT. I’m insanely angry when I think about the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual abuse. It makes my
My thoughts on deconstruction. The definitions, the danger, and why I am so brazen. Avail on FB and insta. https://t.co/thiEP4S7jw
Brett thought it would be a good idea to mock & belittle @JamesPrescott77 for asking our community for moving assistance!
Was that a good idea?? 🤨 #Exvies #WCT #EmptyThePews
@JamesPrescott77 No grifting is serious business. If I need moving expenses I earn them. You’re a con.
I know that a lot of us #Exvies daydream of something like, "Starting a community where we can all share 20 acres of land & help each other get back on our feet."
It's completely okay if you just help one other person.
😍
THANK YOU!
Everyone, including #WCT, #Exvangelicals, #Exvies, #FaithfullyLGBT, & those who eschew all labels:
Save this worksheet 😂😉 & keep it handy for when you doubt yourself.
This tweet is so funny to me but has gotten zero interaction. I think it’s maybe because only #Exvies #Exvangelicals will get it?
@brchastain @Beyonces_Legs HALP I NEED SUPPORT FOR THIS INCREDIBLE JOKE I MADE THAT NO ONE CARES ABOUT.
POV: ur Jesus on the cross and someone just passed you up a vinegar-soaked rag when you asked for water:
@AshDunston I think there are Christian men who are secretly gay, & aren't even out to themselves. They literally hate women. They hate & resent having to *be with* women. But they don't understand why.
@Needle_of_Arya Well, I hate to disagree, but...#exvies sure are. Lots of us have been saying this for a looooong time.
Speaking for myself, the last few years have been like watching my absolute worst nightmares come true.
We Rest In the Dark:
20 years after getting away with killing a classmate at their small parochial school six friends reunite for their pastor's funeral only to find faith and bond tested when the past finally catches up to them. #PitMad #literarysuspense #exvies
