Un élément récent vient au contraire contredire ces rumeurs. Vendredi 7 août 2026, William Yakutumba est visible dans une vidéo participant aux côtés des FARDC, à une opération de déguerpissement des barrières érigées sur la route nationale numéro 5 (RN5), entre Uvira et Baraka.
Cette opération faisait suite à une décision du Conseil provincial de sécurité du Sud-Kivu réuni le 4 août, en présence notamment du commandant de la 33ᵉ région militaire, le général de brigade Dunia Kashind Fabien.

Des publications circulant sur les réseaux sociaux affirment que les « La coalition rebelle M23-RDF » a tenu un premier meeting à Kabambare (Maniema) et que plusieurs militaires des FARDC auraient été tués dans une embuscade.
Verdict : Faux.
Interrogé sur ces allégations, le gouverneur du Maniema, Moïse Mussa Kabwankubi, dément catégoriquement ces informations. « Il n’y a rien à Kabambare. Aucun centimètre du Maniema n’est occupé par l’ennemi. Il s’agit d’une guerre médiatique et psychologique pour déstabiliser la population. La situation est totalement sous contrôle », a-t-il déclaré.
Le compte Simaro Ngongo est engagé dans la désinformation, intox et manipulation, il est actuellement connu comme un compte de propagande de la coalition rebelle du M23-RDF. Méfiez-vous de ses publications.

NHAI would like to clarify that the news reports claiming cracks in the girders/bridge at Badgaon Interchange (Deoband-Nanauta Road) on the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor are misleading and factually incorrect. There are no structural cracks in any of the bridges at the location.
The elements visible in the photographs are old shuttering bracket joint pins and sealing pins left over from the construction phase.
Their removal is being carried out by the maintenance team as part of routine finishing works and has no bearing on the structural integrity of the bridge.
The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is regularly maintained, with periodic activities such as joint and moisture sealing, cleaning, repainting, and minor patching being undertaken, particularly during the monsoon season. These are standard maintenance practices for a newly commissioned expressway.
NHAI urges the public to verify facts before sharing or relying on misleading information.

A press conference video is being circulated across media and social media platforms with an attempt to malign the image of the #IndianArmy.
It is reiterated that the individuals seen in the video, namely Chandu Chavan, Harendra Yadav and P Narender, were dismissed from service on grounds of indiscipline and unsoldierly conduct. The fourth individual, Shankar Singh Gujjar, is a deserter and disciplinary proceedings are undergoing against him in both military and civil courts.
These individuals are deliberately spreading fake, malicious and misleading narratives on social media to divert attention from their own misconduct and dismissal from service. Citizens are advised not to fall prey to such propaganda and to remain vigilant against misinformation. (1/2)
